Night Sojourn(2) – The drunkard mode

Accidents bring surprises

This time, I tried something else– setting the AF speed to 2/2. I started doing experiments, but the result wasn’t what I expected.

Taking photos with low AF speed can be difficult without a tripod. Although it can create beautiful lines, the background will get blurred. This is why some people will use a tripod to take photos with low AF mode. Once you stabilized the camera, all you need to do is to capture the light at the right moment, avoiding the trouble of getting BLURRED images.

(Unless you luckily find a good angle:))

Otherwise, you will see something similar below.

Catching the mini bus

But not all of them are failures?

Into the unknown

This set of photos were taken inside the subway. No filter was used. I just accidentally turned it into a horror game image😂.

Maybe this is the fun of photography.

Next to the main road

Not a successful attempt. But somehow I was able to get what I want? Despite lacking good composition, it successfully recorded the cars on the road.

The colorful night life

This all-in-a-sudden journey made me realize that GH5 has more potential than I thought. It can perform well in the dark as well!

The only thing I want to say is the light pollution level in Hong Kong. The photos look gorgeous, but I have to admit that light pollution is too serious in Hong Kong. Even though I set the ISO at 200, you can still see how bright they were. 🙂‍↕️

It is a blessing for photographers, and a curse for residents.

Next time, I will start my new challenge–capturing all Catholic Churches in Hong Kong. Hahaha.😆 I will go on posting my experiments on WordPress.
