2nd day in Lao: The half-finished fall that aroused my interest in a different field?

I nearly got into trouble again. If I didn’t swing my right leg backward, I probably would have gotten seriously injured.

My curiosity brought me to the shopping mall located in the centre of the capital. I found the daily necessities I needed and bought them from the supermarket. But I missed the biggest problem: how can I go home without booking a loca?

Then I decided to go to the hotel on foot. What a bad decision! There were bumps and hums on the muddy road. Even though I am a person with high level of dexterity, the mud bumps on the road nearly brought me to the paradise.

During the middle of the road, my right suddenly stopped moving. Then, I found myself staring at the hole in front of me! The whole incident happened so fast that I didn’t have time to react to it. If I went on walking mechanically like a robotic, we can foresee that I would be falling into the bottomless “rabbit hole”. When I turned on the flashlight on my phone, an abyss with a diameter of 2 metres appeared. It freaked me out. My muscle memory saved me from the lurking danger! I am amused by how powerful my mind and body coordinated. It was like a miracle.

In the future, I may study about the relationship between body and mind. However, I do believe it’s no only the work of my right leg, but also my primitive brain, who recognised the danger from the optical neurones and sent a message to my right leg. But it also proved that my body and mind are separated.
