“Is it for dog? OH MY GOD? OH!!!!!”, said my friend.
“The picture of the dog is for decoration; human can use it as well! It is not for dog!”, I said.
This is my friend. Except for being tall and intelligent, he has nothing special. So far, he is the only real male friend I’ve ever had in my life. We can talk about anything in the world. The depth of his thinking shocked my mind. Despite of these external qualities, his philosophy is gradually changing me.
When I arrived at his apartment, I was shocked by the spaciousness of his room. Even though he is living alone, he rented a two-floor apartment with 2 bedrooms and a big living room. Since his goal is to enjoy his life in this foreign country, he even brought his own projector and personal audio equipment from Hong Kong to Laos. Other than that, he chooses an untypical living style. He refuses to wash any dishes or touch any insects, even if it is just an ant that is smaller than a seed.
“Ahahahahahah! There are ants in the sink, help me clean it!”
However, he has a side that is completely different from his soft, tender appearance. He is the king of complain. Today, we had dinner at a Japanese restaurant. However, his seat was facing the air conditioner, and he couldn’t tolerate the cool air blowing to his head. Feeling the cold from his back, he told the waitress that he could not tolerate the situation and waited for the waitress reply. I felt a bit embarrassed for his demand became a burden for the staff. It was very difficult to fulfill his requirement. Unbelievably, because of his persistence, we finally got better seats. He has the skin to bargain, and he knows he will always win the game.
From this small incident, I learned that if you ask for more, people will give you more. However, I am a person that has the tendency not to disappoint other people. So, it may not be a wise decision to pick up this new habit.
